ECM Prague Open 2009 /09. 06. 2009/

On behalf of ECM Real Estate Investments, we are pleased to invite you to this year´s biggest celebration of tennis in the Czech Republic, the ECM Prague Open 2009, which we are delighted to be the Title Sponsor of.

The fifth year of the tournament will take place at Prague ’s Stvanice Stadium from 13^th to 19^th July 2009. The ECM Prague Open has recently been added into the International Tournament Category of the International Tennis Federation, with 220.000 USD in funding and the timing of the tournament, as well as its increased prize money, should ensure that some high quality players take part this year. The official list of players already includes one of the semi-finalists from this year´s French Open, Dominika Cibulkova from Slovakia, the current leading Czech player, Iveta Benesova, and the former 7th ranked player in the world, Nicole Vaidisova. Other players will include Lucie Hradecka and Klara Zakopalova, both of whom are currently playing very strongly.     

The tournament will be accompanied by the popular exhibition singles match, which will be played this year by the Australian tennis player Pat Cash, who won against Ivan Lendl in the Wimbledon final in 1987, and the French ’ tennis musketeer,‘ Henri Leconte. The exhibition will start with a singles match between Cash and Leconte, and they will later be joined by tennis‘s ‘magic‘ player, Mansur Barhami, and Bohdan Ulihrach, for a doubles match. The highlight of the singles match will be its attractive line-up, whilst the doubles match is sure to be entertaining as the pairing of Bahramí and Leconte is bound to offer exciting tennis and they are sure to be crowd favourites. This year´s exhibition matches will take place on Sunday, 19th July at 11.00 and will be followed by the ECM Prague Open singles final.
